WALPURGIS

Walpurgis is a French metal band born in 2008. Created from the ashes of a death metal band, it grew into something more eclectic, incorporating elements from heavy, black and doom metal. Screams and chants meet fast guitars with heavy solo, a deep bass and violent drums, all driven by symphonic and melodic keys. After almost 10 years of work, their first album Above the Stars is released in 2018. As a lone walk in forest by night, Above the Stars leads you through a nature shrouded in mysteries, where monsters await you, taking the vilest forms or the most desired ones. The stories depicted focus on Lovecraft, ancient tales and religion as well as love, death and desire.
