Biography: Les Sacrifiés, 3rd album from Mourning Dawn is now out on Totalrust music. http://www.totalrust-music.com/Releases.asp This new album offers natural continuation of band’s own style oscillating between oppressive Death/Doom & Black Metal dark aggressiveness with a deep emphasis on human feelings like despair and pain. Mourning Dawn came to life as a one-man-band from the south of France in 2002 with will to avoid stereotypes while giving a dark and violent music. After a few demos and EPs, first album was released in 2007 on Totalrust Music, receiving very good feedbacks from the critics and 'zines, especially concerning the dark and obscure atmosphere that emerges from it, and the extreme harshness of the vocals. Laurent then wanted Mourning Dawn to evolve to a full line up band in order to give it live opportunities. Once stable line up found, 2nd full length called "For the fallen" was recorded, again released on Totalrust Music in 2009, which propelled the band to the forefront of the scene. During past years, the band shared the stage with some of the most renowned bands of the scene including Evoken, Mourning Beloveth, Forgotten Tomb, Ahab, Isole, Mournful Congregation, and more….
