The Amazigh are the indigenous inhabitants of North Africa. Their presence extends from The southern border of Egypt through Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania, Niger, Mali and Northern Burkina Faso to the Canary Islands off the South West coast of mainland Morocco, numbering more than 50 million people. However, they are treated by each of the ruling regimes in those countries as minorities. We represent the Amazigh of Libya. The ones who erupted against the dictatorship of Gaddafi the oppressor of Amazigh rights. But subsequently the inheritors of that power are those who still practice the same dictatorship on us and even threaten genocide of life alongside cultural and linguistic termination. As you all know, today in Libya there is an ongoing conflict for power, authority and money. In addition, there is a war between two bloody and extremist factions. On one side, a group called ‘The Noble Arab Tribes’ has an army determined on exterminating the Amazigh because they do not belong to the Arab-Sharif race. On the other side, is a group that fights in the name of Islam and seeks a Caliphate State. These are determined to exterminate the Amazigh because they are ‘Ibadhist’ a name for moderate, tolerant Muslims that do not believe in the law of beheadings and cutting tongues, (ASHARIAA) which (in the eyes of the accusers) makes them Kharijites that deserve to be murdered. In Libya today, they are arranging to declare the country's constitution through a committee in which there are no representatives of the Amazigh people, because they are second-class citizens. Therefore, it will be a constitution for Libya that is similar to constitutions of the other Northern African states, where there is no equality between citizens. No rights for Amazigh people. The Tunisian constitution for example now states that Tunisia is only an Arabic country and its language is Arabic only and won't be otherwise and to hell with the Amazigh of Tunisia. Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, Through this authortative platform, we warn and even sound the alarm to the world: Amazigh in all of North Africa are suffering from tragic human rights infringement and have been for decades if not centuries. To this day, right now as I am addressing you, Kikla and Oubari cities are being bombarded and Amazigh cities of "Kal3a" and “Yefren” are being besieged in Libya. The young Amazigh of Zrawa and Tamzret in southern Tunisia are being arrested and bullied. The young and the elderly are being killed in southern Algeria Ghardaia and imprisoned in the Kabyl area. We have Amazigh political prisoners popular revolution since 2012 and was not supported by any of the international community. Our Tuareg people in Niger, Burkina Faso, Southern Algeria and Libya live a life of poverty and disease although their land is one of the richest lands of the world and the largest international companies are investing in its resources. Our people are being threatened by the Wahhabi terrorism whilst we are peaceful and tolerant. What is happening now in the Kurdish Kobanî can be observed in a lot of cities and towns of the Amazigh in North Africa and the Sahara along with a wave of chaos, spread of weapons and motion of terrorist groups that are being cultivated and funded by regional and Gulf systems. Amazigh have exhausted all peaceful and civilized means in attempts to gain their legitimate entitlement to exist, live and exercise their natural rights. Our biggest fear is that we will be forced to seek the same tools and methods that hostile parties are using to deny us our rights. Force, tyranny and violence.
