Frank Herbert's Dune is a three-part miniseries written and directed by John Harrison and based on Frank Herbert's 1965 novel Dune. Frank Herbert's Dune won two Emmy Awards in 2001 for Cinematography and Visual effects in a miniseries/movie, as well as being nominated for a third Emmy for Sound editing. This is a newer version of Dune, shot 16 years after the original. Originally shown in three parts, we're going to watch it all in one sitting! I'm on a Dune kick, so soon we'll watch the sequel, Children of Dune. Come for the original on Monday, watch the newer version Wednesday, and hang out with awesome people on both days.
