Camp 2009 in Skadovsk

You are welcome to take part in the camp which will take part on the coast of the Black Sea from July 19th till August 1st. It is dedicated to the topic of HIV/AIDS. The main goal of our project is to bring the attention of publicity to this issue with a help of art. During the project, 50 young people will increase their level of knowledge about HIV/AIDS transmission, and develop positive attitudes towards people living with HIV and AIDS. In turn, the students will educate the greater public by holding an open-air arts festival on Skadovsk’s main pedestrian street. With the experience and knowledge gained during the week, students will be empowered and encouraged to create their own projects concerning HIV/AIDS issues. 12 staff members will be teaching, supporting, and maintaining positive and productive atmosphere during the project. Stuff will consist of 6 Peace Corps Volunteers and 6 student-volunteers from Ukraine. It is a wonderful opportunity to practice your English with native speakers and at the same time to help your community. Participation fee - 200 UAH (for your substantial lunches for the two weeks of camp). In the Camp you will get a load of positive emotions and impressions add to this huge amount of useful information. Besides that you will be able to show your talents during the Arts Festival.
