Sacramento County Sheriff K9 Trial

The Sacramento County Sheriff K9 Unit will be hosting a WSPCA sanctioned K9 Trial at our newly restored K9 Training facility in Carmichael on June 27, 2009. Bring the whole family and come out and watch law enforcement K9 teams from all over the state compete for awards in obedience, agility, suspect search, and suspect apprehension. The competition starts at 8 am and runs to approximately 4 pm. We also plan to have deputies assigned to our specialty units such as SWAT, Air Operations, and Mounted available to meet and answer questions from 10 am to 2 pm. Our K9 Camaro and newly refurbished surplus military humvee will be on display. Members of the SSD K9 Unit and their K9 partners will available to meet at our newly refurbished K9 office near the training field where the competion will be taking place. Bring an appetite because a hot dog and hamburger BBQ meal will be available for purchase from 10 am to 2 pm. Money raised will directly benefit our non-profit K9 Association.
