Born in 1984 and growing up in Down South (Sri Lanka) Dj Shagg recognized his great passion for music @ an early age and started exposing himself to a large variety of genres, widening his perspectives and nurturing his knowledge of music. He soon knew that this wasn’t simply a hobby, but something that he wanted to pursue professionally. Wanting to combine the different types of melodies and beats that stimulate his senses and come up with his own unique style, Growing with the passion of music in his soul spinning music and Djing since 2002, Gihan (Shagg) started from beach parties to reach most beach restaurents in Down south. As time passed he started to reach most clubbers/ravers in Sri Lanka through his flaming music and his awesome bond with the crowd. He also kept his study on a perfect level at university majoring Business Management/Marketing. Shaggs way of playing and spinning the decks around the region is well known and respected. He plays a variety of House music which pump the blood in your veins. His electro beats and Funky style gives the crowd the chance to reach the level of music contamination.After awarded as the best DJ in down south (SL) in 2007 he started the new era which is shining in his career. shagg's aim is to travel more countries to perform his talents, his main goals now is to present something different & punchy to his loving audience & get in to international plane. DJ Shagg is always seeking more knowledge and experience. Not at all, there is a secret........ shagg is also a 80s killer.From2008 to 03/2009 he was spinning his music as the resident Dj in Club Rannalhi ( Maldives ) . His fans are his drive, as he persistently seeks variety and chances for improvement within his work to keep them satisfied on the dance floor. CheErS...! C u On the Dancing floor !
