Nordic Youth meeting 2009. Aalborg Youth School are preparing a get together for young people from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Faroe Island, Greenland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, The North-West Russia and Denmark. The Youth meeting will take place from the 28. of June to the 4. of July 2009. The place for the meeting will be Youth Centre Sejlflod, which is an activity centre and Youth-house for young people in an eastern suburb to the city of Aalborg. We would like to invite 5 young people and 1 leader from each country. The youngsters must be between 13 – 19 years old, and they must be able to speak and communicate in English. The subjects of the youth meeting will be: • Knowledge and understanding of Nordic culture heritage. • Focus on young people in the present Nordic and co-operation in the future. • Developing of democracy in the young generation. • Multicultural consciousness and counteract xenophobia in the North. We will make workshops, discussions, learning by doing, walk and talk, activities in the nature, excursions, songs and music and much more - and of course a lot of fun. We are going to apply the Nordic Children- and Youth Committee for contribution, and hopefully we will be able to get money for the stay, food and activities and about half your travelling-expenses.
