Call for trees

Think Green! Feel Green! Be Green! Join Armenia’s Green Generation, Celebrate Earth Day – Donate Trees! The Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) joined Earth Day Network as a regional partner in 2008. To celebrate Earth Day in the time from April, 22nd until May, 2nd FPWC calls all citizens of the country as well as the members of Armenian Diaspora and everybody who is concerned about the green future of this beautiful country to donate trees. These trees will be used in Earth Day tree planting events organized by FPWC in all regions of Armenia. The events will be implemented by the young members of the SunChild Eco-club Network. SunChild Eco-clubs are established by FPWC in all 10 regions of Armenia. Currently more than 600 children and youths are enrolled in the environmental education courses offered by FPWC in the SunChild Eco-clubs. These “SunChildren” are Armenia’s Green Generation. Join the movement, donate trees and support the effort to green Armenia! One tree costs 1500 AMD (= 4 $). Each donor of a tree will occur with his name and contribution on a list which will be published by FPWC on the websites: www.fpwc.org , www.savethenature.am FPWC will be pleased to honor private donors who are ready to provide an amount of 100 trees or more with a certificate. Companies, organizations and other entities which are contributing more than 500 trees are offered the possibility to present their banner during all Earth Day events organized by FPWC. Of course all donors are invited to participate personally in the tree plantings and plant Armenia’s green future with own hands!
