A trip to Helsinki, Finland on 2nd-3rd May

Here I’m representing you the preliminary programme of our fifth trip to Helsinki on 2nd-3rd May. During the tour we do not only visit a foreign country, get acquainted with it and different places of interest there, BUT also SPEAK ENGLISH ALL THE TIME and meet people from LOCAL ENGLISH SPAEKING CLUBS and SOCIEITES, and that gives us a possibility of self-growth and development while practicing English. This time we are going to meet Nick Hennessey, a visiting English actor and storyteller Our friends from the Finnish-British Society are organizing this event. Here is the letter from Anthony Shaw, our British friend from Helsinki. “May 3rd we have Nick Hennessey, a visiting English actor and storyteller, visiting and doing some sort of workshop in afternoon, and a Show in the evening (8 - 10E)” So my suggestion is to make the trip as the following: We leave St. Petersburg at 8 a.m. on 2nd May, drive directly to Helsinki. At about 2 p.m.- 3 p.m. we should be there. When we arrive there can be two options for you: - to stay in Helsinki for a few hours (shopping, sightseeing etc.) or- to visit Heureka museum in Vantaa (http://www.heureka.fi) In the evening we check-in at the hotel and have some rest. We could also go to one or another pub there for a drink and chat at night. Afterwards we have an overnight at the hotel On 3rd May in the afternoon we join in the workshop of Nick Hennessey and also go to his show. After the show we leave for St. Petersburg and will be back in Russia early in the morning on 4th May. To make the trip real we need a group of 6 people. The preliminary price for group of 6 is 135 Euros per person. The price includes: A minibus at our disposal for 2 days Overnight at the hotel in the centre of Helsinki Ticket to the show You pay additionally for: Visa (you make it yourself if you don’t have it) Meals,Museum ticket if you go there.
