Diva Destruction was created by Debra Fogarty (singer/songwriter/ programmer) in early 1998. Trained as a classical pianist from an early age, Debra's songwriting and vocal style combine the best elements of goth, industrial, and synthpop. Debra soon signed to two labels, Metropolis Records (U.S.) and Dark Dimensions/Alice In (Germany), and DD won "Best LA Goth Band" two years in a row (Rock City News). Throughout many full European tours, as well as tours covering the U.S. and festivals in Mexico, DD has also been the Headliner for many large festivals throughout Europe. The large four day festival in Germany, Wave Gotik Treffen, has booked DD as a co-headliner twice. DD has also recorded cover songs for tribute albums and a movie. The movie producer for "Gypsy 83" asked DD to record a cover of Stevie Nicks' "Talk to Me" for the movie and soundtrack CD. Cleopatra Records also asked DD to contribute songs and cover songs for many CDs, such as DD's popular cover of "Climbing up the Walls" for a Radiohead tribute album. Debra has appeared on the covers of many music magazines throughout Europe and has recently trained to become a Recording Engineer.
