Kazakh Society in Manchester is proud to invite everyone to the celebration of the Central Asian spring festival “Nauryz”. Celebrated on the vernal equinox day, Nauryz is considered to be the beginning of the New Year in Kazakhstan and other countries of Central Asia. Life performances by the most talented young musicians studying in the UK, kazakh traditional dance, an exposition and presentations about the kazakh national culture and traditions will provide you with a unique opportunity to get to know the heart of Central Asia from the inside, as seen by its native people, and to learn about its rich history. During the musical concert part, the winner of Manchester University’s “Students Got Talent” contest in 2008 and a number of musical competitions in Hong Kong, Turkey and the UK Bauyrzhan Yessimbekov will be introducing the main kazakh musical instrument “dombyra” performing traditional and classical music; Aigerim Bimurzayeva, one of the most talented students of Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester, will be demonstrating a fascinating beauty of oboe sounds. Buffet and drinks will be provided to our guests during the musical part of the event All guests are also kindly invited to the second part of the festival to watch the comedy performance by our Kazakh student comedians (KVN) and enjoy the night dance party at “MANCH235TER” club. Now YOU have an exclusive opportunity to feel a flavor of that festivity, kindly hosted by Kazakh Society in Manchester. All the profit generated from the event goes to charity (orphan houses). The event consists of two parts: Part 1: Concert; from 6 pm – 9 pm Part 2: The night dance party.
