S.S is a 5-piece deathcore metal, grindcore band from Riverside, California.Suicide Silence finished recording their first full-length album entitled The Cleansing which was released on September 18, 2007. The album was recorded with producer John Travis (Static-X), while Tue Madsen (Himsa, The Haunted) handled mixing duties. The album debuted at number 94 on the Billboard 200, selling 7,250 copies the first week, and became the highest selling artist debut in Century Media history. Prior to being signed to Century Media, the band released self-recorded demos in 2003 and 2004, and in late 2005 the group put out their first quality studio-recorded release, the Suicide Silence EP. which was released in the U.K. by In At The Deep End Records (Architects, Gallows). And in the U.S. by ((SOS)) Records. The band was added to the Mayhem Festival which took place this summer. They toured Europe with Parkway Drive and Bury Your Dead, following a successful U.S. tour with the same bands. Suicide Silence also played select dates on the Thrash and Burn tour, which featured Darkest Hour, Parkway Drive, Misery Signals, Stick To Your Guns, Winds Of Plague, Arsonists Get All The Girls, Arsis, As Blood Runs Black (on select dates), and Emmure (on select dates). They then headlined the European Summer Slaughter Tour and followed that with a headlining tour of North America dubbed the Cleansing the Nation Tour with supporting Architects, After the Burial, Beneath The Massacre and Emmure, the band debuted a new song on the tour which was untitled at the time of the tour.
