Marco Piemonte, Noel Chapman, Jonathan McFall, Manel Torres

Marco Piemonte: Born in Rome, 1976. After high school and a graduate course in Comics at Rome School of Comics, he started to work as a freelance storyboard artist. Then moving to NY for two years, where he exhibited his work and gained various commissions in fashion illustration. In 2001 he moved back to Milan to study Fashion Styling at Istituto Marangoni. After graduating with distinction he started doing styling illustrations. Marco currently lives in London where he teaches drawing and digital design and where he works as freelance illustrator. http://www.marcopiemontestudio.com/ Jonathan McFall is a commercial artist who has received seven awards in the past three years, including awards from Communication Arts, American Illustration, Best 200 Illustrators and his work has also been recently published in Computer Arts, Artbook and the Guardian. Jonathan combines classical drawings skills with bright colours and uses computer programs to help create and combine styles and effects. This is a reflection of Pop Culture for Jonathan and his inspiration is saturated with years of experimental drawing and painting techniques. The process of creating experimental images has long been the key to understanding Jonathan's illustrations. After six years of study at Manchester Metropolitan University Jonathan finished his Masters in Communication Design and graduated in 2001. He has now worked with many clients and agents worldwide, including: Images.com, Farm, Lemonade Illustration and now Kandibox. Jonathan is also a teacher at one of London's top fashion schools, Istituto Marangoni, and volunteers at Community Focus in North London. Jonathan's work may be seen this summer at the Lebook exhibition in London and New York. Manel Torres: • 1995 - 1997 Manel Torres conceives the idea for Spray-on Fabric whilst studying for his MA in Fashion Women's Wear, Royal College of Art, London. • 1998 - 2001 Manel Torres obtains his PhD for Spray-on Fabric at the Royal College of Art and has a patent filed for this technology. During his PhD research his work was supervised by Dr Susannah Handley and Professor Paul Luckham. • 2003 Manel Torres establishes Fabrican Ltd. with Professor Paul Luckham. Dr Manel Torres BA (Hons), MA (RCA), Ph.D (RCA), is the managing director of Fabrican Ltd., which was established in February 2003. The company has its R&D facilities at Imperial College London.
