Krista Kosonen

Date of Birth 28 May 1983, Espoo, Finland Height 5' 10" (1.78 m) Krista Kosonen (1983), who has become one of the brightest new stars in Finland in a short period of time, first appeared on the big screen in AJ Annila’s Finnish fantasy spectacle Jade Warrior (2006), where she played the object of the hero’s (Tommi Eronen) love through the centuries. Graduated as a Bachelor of Theatre and Drama and currently studying her fourth year The Theatre Academy in Helsinki, her real breakthrough was in Olli Saarela’s excellent novel adaptation The Year of the Wolf (2007), where Kosonen plays the lead role alongside Kari Heiskanen. Both films will be screened at Espoo Ciné this year. In addition to her film work, Kosonen has appeared on stage in productions with Ryhmäteatteri as well as well as in television series such as Hurja joukko (2002), Uudisraivaaja (2006) and Suojelijat (2008). Suojelijat will be broadcast on Channel Four Finland in early 2008.
