Spleen United is a Danish rock band. The band consists of the brothers Bjarke and Gaute Niemann, Jens Kinch, Kasper Nørlund and Rune Wehner. The band was formed in Århus, Denmark in 2002. Their first live performance was at Århus musical festival Spot 09 in 2003. Their first album release was Godspeed into the Mainstream. Spleen United's second album is called Neanderthal and was released on January 21, 2008 in Denmark. The first single from the album was "My Tribe".[citation needed] The second and third were "Suburbia" and "66" respectively. In early 2008 Jens Kinch left the band, because he had recently become a father, and felt that band activities interfered with his fatherhood. Spleen united is currently touring with a substitute drummer, and is looking for a permanent replacement.
