Yet far from an extension of past efforts, the time dormant has let their resolve fester into an entirely more intense creature, still grounded in heavy hardcore, but earthier, dirtier and spitting discordance. Misshapen riffs twist as if trying to escape before being shattered into an abrasive breakdown, or a moment of ambient clarity. Melding with like-minded past and present members of The Abandonment and The Seduction, In Trenches is convulsing into life the only way it knows how. Plunging headfirst into a national tour with The Red Shore in December, and then with Bleeding Through, and Between the Buried and Me in January ‘09. With the demo bringing a refreshing taste of things to come and an imminent first release, bear witness to In Trenches, a birth, a rejuvenation. About Day Of Contempt Day of Contempt are a metalcore band formed around 1998, they were originally part of the Adelaide, South Australia underground hardcore scene, in mid 2004 they set up in the Los Angeles/Orange County area. In Australia they have toured with or supported international bands including, Unwritten Law, Strung Out, the Mad Caddies, H20, One King Down, Throwdown, Ensign, Terror, Good Charlotte and Australian bands 28 Days, Frenzal Rhomb, Superheist and played at Adelaide's Big Day Out. The band broke up in 2005.
