CITC - Canadian Institute of Travel Counselors

The Canadian Institute of Travel Counsellors is a national, non-profit organization, incorporated in 1968 to raise the level of professionalism within the travel industry by offering a wide range of education programs. As the Canadian travel industry's educational trade association, CITC promotes the professional designations, CTC (Certified Travel Counsellor) and CTM (Certified Travel Manager). In addition, CITC maintains an up-to-date listing of Certified members in the National Directory of Certified Travel Professionals (www.citc.ca/en/directory) and publishes a monthly newsletter for CITC members, called "The Buzz." The CITC provides information to consumers about Careers in the the travel industry, how to become a travel counsellor, good travel buying habits, Travel Scams, and how to obtain information about the travel industry in your province
