Josh Wink & Superpitcher Headline Flavorpill's One Step Beyond at the AMNH - Oct 19th -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the high-voltage hijinks of Bonde do Role in September, the next edition of Flavorpill's One Step Beyond at the American Museum of Natural History promises to blast the party to the next level. On Friday, October 19, 2007, Flavorpill and ROBOTS present One Step Beyond with DJs Josh Wink and Superpitcher helming the turntables from 9pm to 1am. Tickets are $20, which includes entry to the Museum's breathtaking Passport to the Universe Space Show and a pass for one future Museum visit. Tickets are available in advance at www.amnh.org and at the door on the night of the event. Entrance to the event is located on West 81st Street, just off Central Park West. Superpitcher is the most sensitive star in Kompakt Records' firmament, assimilating the legendary Cologne techno label's sophisticated minimalism with a shimmering, glimmering romanticism all his own. Don't expect him to go soft as a DJ, though—his sets are famously tough yet tender workouts. Co-headlining is DJ and producer Josh Wink, who has been pushing dance floors forward for nearly 20 years. From his acid-house beginnings in the early '90s rave scene, the Ovum Recordings label head remains unafraid to walk the border between stylistic boundaries, cruising between atmospheric and tribal, jackin' and soulful, minimal and maximal.
