Metal / Hardcore / Death Metal DALLAS, United States My Son My Executioner is a furious metallic force with seasoned roots in the hardcore and metal scene. Members emerged from Dallas outfits Nightmares Hereafter, Terms of Grey and 2004 Cornerstone buzz-band Losing All Hope. In Between Heaven and Hell, their first offering, is destined to be a memorable release My Son My Executioner is made up of ex-members of Terms of Grey, 30 called arson and Nightmares Hereafter. Their EP In Between Heaven and Hell was released in March 2005 on Doll House Recordings. My Son My Executioner recently announced several line-up changes. Vocalist Zach Updegrove, guitarist Tommy Gates, and drummer David Bruner have amicably exited the band to "pursue other things." The group has subsequently added former guitarist Bobby Reynolds to the fold in addition to drummer Jason Roe (ex-Evelynn, Between the Buried and Me). The band is currently seeking an additional guitarist. Interested candidates should send an email MY SON MY EXECUTIONER has wrapped recording of their new EP The Burning. We have heard the rough mixes, and this is gonna be one for the books. The long-awaited follow-up to 2005's In Between Heaven and Hell was recorded by Jeremiah Scott (Living Sacrifice, Twelve Gauge Valentine) in Nashville. Artwork is being handled by John Sant (Prosthetic Records, IBHAH). The record is currently being mixed and will soon be mastered by Alan Douches (Mastodon, Converge) at West West Side. Look for a April/May release.
