Citrus Recordings started early 1999, when Dreazz and Falcon met up for the 1st time on a gig in a club in the Netherlands. Around the 9th release, Blacksun empire Joined the roster, and it wasnt for long or the first UK artist, Simon Bassline Smith released a killer track on the label. From that moment on the label was no longer just focussing on dutch artist, but also involving bigger UK related artists. It was around this time that Noisia, Spinor and Mav did their breakthrough releases along side artists like Sonic & Silver, Digital, Optiv & like minded artist.. end of 2006, was the offical launch of the first LP called Juiceblender. Juiceblender was the start of a new era, and a start of many cooperations and a new directio for this Dutch label. Not only was it working with local & international artists, but at this point Citrus had become an interesting blend of world wide artists, all representing proper rolling neuro flavoured drum & bass. Citrus Recordings has been one of the first labels outside the UK to start releasing drum&bass on a world wide level.
