Then why not join the actors of KELT ( Kazakhstan English Language Theater) for Word / Play, their 2008 Spring production? Word / Play is an evening of four short one-act comedies about how people communicate. From an 18th century Parisian farce to a modern play performed in a made-up language, the comedies of Word / Play will have audiences laughing and marveling at how men and women, strangers and friends never fail to misinterpret and misunderstand each other . . . and how this always leads to ever-more complicated and unexpected consequences! Featuring a cast of performers from Kazakhstan , Kyrgyzstan , Turkmenistan , USA and Australia and co-directed by Jessica Lewis and Jessie England, Word / Play promises to be an evening of fun for theater lovers of all ages, so book your tickets now! Word / Play runs Friday and Saturday April 11 and 12 at 7:00 pm, and Sunday April 13 at 3:00 pm. All performances will take place in KIMEP Institute s Great Hall, located at Abai and Dostyk streets in central Almaty. Tickets are general seating and cost 800 tenge for adults and 400 tenge for students. KIMEP students who show their student cards will receive free admission to any performance!
