Luth from Hamburg, who taughed me, that all the Rap and Hip Hop tunes where based on Funk samples. That was back in the early 80's and beside Hip Hop I started to collect and hunt all the sampled OG's. Unfortunately I didn't give a damn about 45's in the beginning, so I don't want to know what I missed back in these days while focussing mostly on LP's”…” -Stephan Offermann a.k.a. Steven Inch Born 1967 in Hamburg, Germany, Steven Inch started DJing in the late 80's in Clubs like “Soul Kitchen”, “Mojo-Club” etc ... all near the legendary “Reeperbahn”. After a while he got booked in several other places all over Hamburg and also Berlin, where he spun his records as a guest DJ in Clubs like the “Cha Cha”, “90 Grad” or “Dschungel” back in the 90's. After his move from Hamburg to Berlin Steven Inch sold his entire Hip Hop collection and started collecting Funk 45's while he met the guys form Berlin's “Soul Kombinat” and “Tour de Funk”. Nowadays he's running his own Club night with Kristian Auth (Tour de Funk) and is a regularely resident DJ at the “Soul Inn” and many other venues all over Berlin. Together with his friends from the Soul Kombinat he has one of the best record collections all over the country and is well known in British collector?s circles.
