Re-entry in Kharkiv for Kharkiv, Sumy and Luhansk + regions on August 5

Dear FLEX alumni, My name is Artem Sokolskyy and I'm the FLEX Alumni Coordinator for Eastern Ukraine. I'm glad to welcome you in Ukraine and to congratulate you on joining the great FLEX alumni network. In order to introduce you to the FLEX alumni community and events, to receive up-to-date contact information from you, and, of course, to hear your impressions about your unique and amazing FLEX year in the U.S., we are organizing a re-entry meeting in Kharkiv for FLEX alumni from Sumy, Kharkiv and Luhansk cities and oblasts. Topic. During the re-entry, you will have a chance to meet other newly returned FLEX alumni: some of them might happen to be friends you made at the PDO. This will be your first exciting alumni event! We invite you to come and talk about your year in the U.S.A. and what it's like being home again, since we understand that adjustment process might not be easy. Senior alumni are also invited to the event. What to bring. Please bring photographs, yearbooks and other things that depict important moments during your U.S. year. Also, bring one item which you can contribute to a collage we'll make about your year: pins, photos, cards or an item which tells a story about your year! And don't forget to bring your passport. Date, time, location. The meeting will begin on August 5 at 10.00 am in Karazin Kharkiv National University, located on Maydan Svobody 4. If you know how to get there, we'll meet at 9:50 next to the main entrance to the university. However, for those of you who don't live in Kharkiv, we'll meet at 9.00 am at Kharkiv train station (right underneath the "big stairs") and then go to the location all together. The meeting will last approximately 5-6 hours. Meals, travel. Those who live outside of Kharkiv will receive meals. Also, people who live outside of Kharkiv HAVE TO BUY THEIR OWN TICKETS TO Kharkiv. However, upon request you may receive a reimbursement (money) for the tickets you purchase to come to Kharkiv. Only "platskart" or bus tickets will be reimbursed. And, of course, to receive the reimbursement you have to hand in your ticket or receipt. Parents. Sometimes parents wish to escort their children to re-entry. Please inform your parents that they are welcome to escort you to the location, but the event is for FLEX alumni only. Share the news. Please share the information about the event with other 2008-2009 FLEX alumni you know in your region! We do try to reach everyone (we call and e-mail) but making sure more people come is always a good thing! If you cannot make it to this meeting for some objective reason but would like to visit a reentry this year, please let me know ASAP.
