Selena Marie Gomez (born July 22, 1992) is an American actress and singer, best known for her portrayal of Alex Russo on the Disney Channel sitcom, Wizards of Waverly Place. She has also starred in Another Cinderella Story, the sequel to the 2004 Hilary Duff film, and most recently, in the Disney Channel Original Movie, Princess Protection Program. From 2002 to 2003, Gomez had a recurring role on Barney & Friends.
