The best rave this year Probably going to be the best rave this year! Anyone who went to FWD and Rinse last year for the 14th birthday will know that it was a rave to remember, so perhaps some sleep is needed the day before the 15th birthday! These raves never fail to disappoint and I have to say the line up is legendary, especially for fans of Dubstep and Grime. Having been forced along to a different sort of rave at Matter previously and being impressed with the set up, I cannot wait to step into the venue with grime ringing out around the arena. Be prepared to dig deep into your pockets for a double Jack Daniels and Coke though! For grime fans the line up should be good enough to satisfy your hunger for hype with admittedly raves being few and far between this year in particular although hopefully the final two quarters will see an upturn in events around the UK and London. On the night Boy Better Know will be performing live which should be an excellent set building bbkup to the release of their album this year. Been a long time since I have heard Maximum on decks with JME, Skepta and Frisco showering down the microphone, so I’m looking forward to this one. Also up will be Newham General’s who dropped their album early this year. Expect to see Tubby mixing while D Double E goes for a world record attempt in terms of reloads alongside ‘bare right hooks’ Footsie. Already challenging each other to draw for dubs a fortnight in advance of this rave, Silencer, Vectra and Spyro will be swinging it out back to back in the DJ box drawing for specials and rare tunes to duppy the dance. slimzeeTo wrap things up the legendary DJ Slimzee will be touching down again to show just why he is one of the best DJs to ever touch Rinse FM and the grime scene.
