THE CENTRAL EXHIBITION HALL "MANEGE" SAINT-PETERSBURG, RUSSIA "DIALOGUES" - IX BIENNIAL CONTEMPORARY ART AUGUST 14-23 2009 August 14 2009 in the Central exhibition hall of Saint Petersburg "Manege" will be opened IX International exhibition "Dialogues". "Dialogues" - biennial of the modern art, carried out in Petersburg since 1993. in "Dialogues" hundreds artists from more than 30 countries of the world have taken part already. The exhibition includes painting, sculpture, photo, installation, video, computer's projects, performance. Contents of the exhibition are dialogue between traditional art and new art; between national schools; between art currents. The exhibition includes personal sections of artists and the integral expositions which represent creativity of art groups or the separate countries. Among participants of the "Dialogues 2009" artists of USA, France, Italy, Finland, Holland, Sweden, UK, Israel, Germany, Russia. By post: good quality photographs min. 10x15 cm. or electronic images on CD-Rom Deadline for payment is 15.07.2009 Deadline for catalogue data submissions 30.06.2009 - Transportation of artworks (including the insurance and customs formalities) are to be taken care of by the artist. - The works should be delivered at "Manege" in term 3-5 days before the opening. - The works must be ready to hang. - Works must be picked during 5 days after the closing. THE CENTRAL EXHIBITION HALL of SAINT-PETERSBURG "MANEGE" Short description Exhibition grounds - 4380 sq.m (ground floor - 2700 sq.m, 1-st floor - 1680 sq.m) MANEGE holds Art Festivals, retrospective exhibitions; modern art exhibitions; intermuseums exhibitions, exhibitions from private collections etc. Manege holds as well Modern Music Concerts and hosts major Russian and international Trade Fairs. One of the important mission of the Manege is organization of International Exhibitions. Two major international projects are the Dialogues Biennal and the International Festival of Experimental Art.
